Grade 12 survey
Thank you to Rebecca Lewin and Ben vanderStay for filling out their grad survey. At the Scholarship seminars Mrs. Clarke and I indicated that this is the source of information the scholarship committee uses to decide who gets the school committee scholarships.

Suggested Timeline for Applying to College or University
There is a new green sheet available in the guidance office to all grade 12 students that explains the timetlines and $ needed to apply to college and or university.
PLEASE do your research now! Click on those links on the guidance page of the HHS website. Narrow your choices down. Come to the scholarship seminars. Pick up the information sheet with the new 2010 dates on it!
YOU ARE TO APPLY AT CHRISTMAS TIME....THAT MEANS YOU ONLY HAVE 2 MONTHS OF RESEARCH...PLEASE GET STARTED!

This month - LORAN + TD
LORAN Scholarship grants awards to talented young Canadians on the basis of character service and leadership potential. Applications are due on October 20th.www.loranaward.ca
TD Scholarship - is a scholarship for strong student community leaders. Deadline is OCTOBER 30TH. Application forms are in the guidance office or www.tdcanadatrust.com/scholarship
Period 2 Scholarship presentation is next week and period 3 is the week after - see below for dates and please come and sign up in the guidance office.
Remember to check out the college and university visits on our website and sign up to listen to a liason representative today!

Scholarship Seminars + U/C Visits
Thanks to those of you who have been attending the College and University visits currently posted on our HHS website. Please continue to do this and collect the paper materials from these people.This only happens until November!
THEN go onto the electronicinformation.ca site to find out which classes you need to get into an Ontario University OR check out the ontariocolleges.ca website for college admissions information.
Both of these links are on the Student Services/Guidance page of our website.

Period 4 is on Tuesday October 27th @ 10:30
