US Schools Fair

US College Expo Toronto Canada in January, 13-14th, 2012.

This show was designed to serve three important functions:
Education, Networking and Selection
To assist the thousands of Canadian students actively looking for a US school to attend. We anticipate over 5000 students in attendance, half being academic and fine arts students, and half student athletes, in every sport (although we tend to be heavy in hockey and soccer and lacrosse, we will see hundreds of golfers, baseball and basketball players, swimmers, rowers, sailors, gymnasts and tennis and track stars all looking to find a school to match their academic and sporting needs).
To Educate Canadian High School Guidance Counsellors and Athletic Directors on the US Admissions process through an important educational workshop.
We are asking College representatives and other associates to speak on panels throughout the EXPO so that they can tell their story and highlight their strengths and help our students and families narrow their selection process.
Recapping the unique offering of the US College Expo
Exclusive to US Colleges and Universities, and some US Prep and Graduate schools (schools from other countries have not been invited)
5000+ Canadian students actively in the process of preparing for US admissions (academic, student athletes, musicians and artists, are all among that group)
Access to networking with US College representatives/coaches/affiliates to help you develop long lasting relationships
In addition, we are excited to welcome Canadian singer, Suzie McNeil, to the US College Expo who will be inspiring students with the song "Believe", and a surprise guest inspirational speaker who is a graduate of UNH, has played pro hockey in Europe and the NHL. He is a Stanley Cup Champion.

If you are not the person who handles the US College application process with your students, I would ask you to kindly forward to the person who does. If you are a guidance counsellor receiving this email, kindly forward this information to your school's athletic director as well.

NOTE: Students may register for FREE admission by November 30, 2011.
The first 100 students to register to attend will receive a Suzie McNeil signed CD!

If you have any questions you would like answered in the mean time - please call me direct at 416-644-1494 or email me at info@USCollegeExpo.com

Scholarships for Universities

Attention grade 12's seeking endorsement for scholarship applications.....
The Student Services department loves to endorse our HHS students!!!! If you are seeking the endorsement of the school, when applying to specific scholarships, please be sure to submitt all pertinent information well in advance to Student Services (generally one to two weeks in advance of the due date). This will allow for data collection and appropriate communication to take place.

As well, students who are going to be applying to scholarships and bursaries, now is the time to approach employers, coaches, community members for letters of recommendation. This way you will have them on hand.
