Hubert Beresford Clinch Foundation Bursary

There are applications in the guidance office for the above bursary. The criteria is that the student lives within a 50 mile radius of Port Carling and is attending university. The applications must be submitted to the Hubert Beresford Clinch Foundation by July 15th.

Just some reminders....

Just a few reminders as we roll into exams.
1. Check the grad list and make sure you are on it if you are planning to graduate.
2. You will not walk across the stage if you have not ordered a gown from Mr. Sutherland.
3. No flip-flops at graduation.
4. Please do not bring anything with you into the ballroom at Deerhurst as there will be no secure place to store things.
5. Be at Deerhurst at 11:30 am on Thursday, June 30th to be marshalled.
6. If you are going to school out of province you need to let Mrs. Clarke know ASAP so we can make sure the information we have about you is correct for when you walk across the stage!

The Royal Canadian Legion Bursary Assistance Program

This Bursary is to assist students entering or continuing their post-secondary education. Students may be granted up to $500.00 per year. Students must be the child or grandchild of a veteran, Legion member, Ladies Auxilary member or step child of one of the above. Applications are available in guidance, but cannot be submitted until after you begin your post-secondary program next year.

Honour Roll and Ontario Scholar

Just a reminder of the criteria for Honour Roll and Ontario Scholar. To be eligible for Honour Roll you must have an average of 80% or higher in your top six courses taken in your graduating year (they do not all have to be grade 12 courses). To be eligible for Ontario Scholar you must have an average of 80% or higher in your top six grade 12 courses, no matter what year they are taken in.

Gary LePage Memorial Scholarship

There are two scholarships available ($1000 each), one for a male and one for afemale. To be eligible you must be in your final year at HHS with an average between 75% and 88%, must have participated in at least 2 ares of school life, must have participated in at least 2 extra-curricular activities outside of school and must work part-time throughout the school year. Applications are available in the guidance office and must be submitted by the end of the school day on Friday, June 17th.

The Dr.Albert Rose Bursary Program

There is an up to $1500 bursary available from the Ontario Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Applications are available in guidance and must be submitted by Friday, June 17 at 5:00 pm to the address on the application. To be eligible students must live in rent-geared-to-income housing in Muskoka and applying for OSAP.

Grade 12 female students if you were involved in the Girlz Choice or Girlz Unplugged in elementary school or high school, please pick up an application. Or if you are a female and you feel strongly about being a resilient, strong female, pick up an application today.
This is a repost, as there were no applicants for this bursary! Please submitt to the guidance office by 4 pm June 8th, to be faxed!!!!!!
